Autoresponder Magic: One-Time Maings Vs. Periodic Mailings

March 19th, 2008 Posted in Autoresponders

An autoresponder can be a big, big help in your tourism business. There are so many things that you can do with an autoresponder:

  • Send a confirmation e-mail to your newsletter subscribers
  • Send Thank You notes to people who purchase from you
  • Send periodic marketing messages to people who contact you through your opt-in forms
  • Send out e-courses over a period of time
  • Deliver news and information monthly, or weekly, or daily

An autoresponder can be set up to send out a one-time mailing to your e-mail list or it can be set up to send out periodic mailings to your e-mail list. That’s a powerful tool.

An example of a one-time mailing is a thank you, which you should send out to anyone who purchases from you or contacts you for any reason. An example of a periodic mailing would be a once a week offer to sign up for your newsletter to everyone who purchased your e-book on things to see and do in your local area. That periodic mailing can be scheduled to be sent at a certain time every 7 days, or 6 days, or 30 days, or whatever the time period is that you program it for. When the time comes, you do nothing. The mailing will be sent automatically. What a time saver!
