Online And Offline Promotions: Working In Tandem
April 29th, 2008 Posted in Effective Offline PromotionsIf you’re like most tourism business, you see a lot of your business come from offline sources, but you’re seeing more and more success online. Online promotions is becoming an increasingly important part of marketing any business. But the tourism business in particular can see enormous benefits from online promotions. The key to marketing in the 21 century, however, is in making your online promotions and offline promotions work together to increase your bottom line.
When I say “offline promotions,” I am talking about:
- Brochures
- Flyers
- Television and radio advertising
- Billboards
- Magazine and newspaper print advertising
- Offline press releases
- Word of mouth
- Letterhead
- Business cards
- Specialty promotional products
- And other similar offline avenues
The key to these offline promotional methods is to get them to work with what you are doing online. Your marketing efforts should compliment each other. You can start by including your Web URL on each of your print marketing materials. And you should be sure to include your physical address on your web site. Those two things alone will go along way to getting your marketing efforts – both online and offline – working together. And that’s the first step to successful promotions of your tourism business in the 21st century.
