Finding A Web Ring For Your Niche
April 13th, 2008 Posted in Web Rings as a Promotion ToolWeb rings are not that hard to find. They aren’t as prominent as they used to be, but you can still find them. You simply place a banner on your website to let your visitors know that you are a member of the ring and when they visit your web site they click the banner and it takes them to the next web site in the ring. If they keep clicking the banners on each web site then eventually they will have visited every web site in the web ring.
To find a web ring in the tourism business, all you have to do is type in the name of your industry and “web ring” into the search engine’s search box. You will likely find general tourism web rings as well as more nichified web rings such as a web ring on ecotourism.
There are also web ring directories that you can go to and browse the listings of to find the web ring you are looking for. Web ring directories are broken down the same as way as any other directory. There are categories and subcategories. You simply find the want you want and visit that web ring’s home page then get the link for their banner. If you can’t find a web ring for your industry or niche then start one. All you need are a handful of web sites that serve a particular niche and you can start a web ring.
Web Rings are also featured in my book, 101 Ways to Promote Your Tourism Business Web Site, so be sure to take a look there as well!
